Since 1998, our team has been building digital platforms for some of America's most recognizable brands: Ford Motor Company, Citibank, and Kraft Foods. We know what enterprise-grade digital looks like because we built it, shipped it, and scaled it at the highest level.
But somewhere along the way we noticed a gap. While enterprise companies were racing into the future with AI, automation, and advanced digital infrastructure, small and medium businesses were being sold outdated websites and basic SEO that simply no longer worked. Detroit businesses deserved better.
So in 2024, Scott Bussey founded MyDetroitWeb, born from 28 years of Component Digital's Metro Detroit roots, with one mission: bring enterprise-grade digital to the businesses that need it most, at a price that makes sense. Today that mission runs in the family. Scott's son Taylor brings fresh technical perspective to every project, combining next-generation web development skills with the same Detroit work ethic that's driven this team since 1998.

Scott has spent 28 years at the intersection of technology and business in Metro Detroit, building digital platforms for Fortune 500 enterprises including Ford Motor Company, Citibank, and Kraft Foods before founding MyDetroitWeb to bring that same standard to small and medium businesses.
He founded MyDetroitWeb on a simple belief: Detroit businesses deserve enterprise-grade digital without the enterprise price tag or the big agency runaround. Scott is the person who picks up the phone, shows up to the meeting, and stays accountable to your results from day one to day one thousand.
When he's not building digital strategies for clients, Scott is building his own. He runs an extensive technology lab at home, explores the latest AI models, and finds new ways to give MyDetroitWeb clients a competitive edge before the competition even knows what's coming.
