The former Emergency Manager for the City of Benton Harbor came to us not just for a website, but for a platform capable of carrying a consequential message. He had lived through the kind of experience most emergency managers only study in textbooks, and he had identified a significant gap: there was no credible, centralized resource dedicated to educating other cities and states on real-world emergency management.
We became a true founding partner. Together, we conceived and built the Center for Emergency Management Studies from nothing, naming the organization, designing the brand identity from the ground up, creating the logo, and producing every piece of corresponding marketing material.
We then built a robust platform to serve as the hub: an extensive documentation library, educational resources, and a newsletter subscription system. The copy on the site was authored by the client himself, powerful, first-hand, and deeply credible.
The platform launched to strong reception and quickly built a dedicated user base. The client took the work on the road, using the platform as a credibility anchor while speaking at engagements and on the circuit. It became exactly what it was designed to be: a foundation for a movement, not just a website.
This engagement stands apart in our portfolio. We operated as a true creative and strategic partner before a single line of code was written — shaping an organization's identity and giving a lifetime of expertise the platform it deserved.
